Biofuels substitution targets

Targets: none set but under discussion.

National policy and trends in biofuels crop development

Current production capacity (of palm oil methyl ester) is 1.5 million tonnes per year. Export capacity to EU (the main global market for biodiesel) is limited by unsuitability of palm oil based biodiesel to cold European winterss. Domestic and Asian demand is the key to development of a market for Indonesian biodiesel.
